Welcome to Sterling Candles!

In 2005, Sterling Candles & Scents purchased the soap and incense lines from Olio, Incorporated of San Angelo, Texas, when the owners retired after many years in the business.  We also purchased the colorful pillar candles and Christian candles that were popular all over the United States. We have created our own line of glass container candles using a beautiful tapered square jar which comes in three different sizes, and a cylinder style jar for our kitchen scented and wickless candles.

When we began our business, we knew that since there were numerous candles on the market, we would have to produce a candle that would stand out above all other candles.  We decided that most people purchase candles for the fragrance.  Therefore, we have chosen to make all of our candles with a high percentage of fragrance oils.  We add so much scent that we’ve been told by our customers that they do not have to burn the candle to enjoy the scent. 

Our next priority was to find a glass container that would catch the buyer’s eye on the shelf.  The glassware had to be eloquent and one that would enhance any space - our tapered square glass container does exactly that.

We also researched colors and have created our line of candles using popular, decorating colors.  Candles need to add to the room and not take away from the overall look by having outdated colors.   We have a variety of scents and popular colors to choose from.  However, we will create special orders matching scents with particular colors (with a minimum order of course). Our candles are hand poured candles, with only one pour.  That means the fragrance is throughout the entire candle.  Some companies do several pours with little or no scent at the bottom of the container.  Then, on the top layer, more scent is added so that when the customer opens the lid, the scent is strong.  We believe in a quality candle that has the same strong scent throughout the candle. 

Our container candles burn evenly leaving a burn pool and very little or no wax along the glass edge.  We also use wicks which are 100% cotton with no lead or other metal core. 

We have wickless candles for college dormitories, office buildings, schools, etc. where the burning of candles is prohibited.
